After a year of running it, I regret to announce that I am shutting down my SearXNG service.

As implied in these posts, it was running on an OVHcloud VPS-1 instance. Well, a VPS-1 instance of THAT time now that it’s the equivalent of today’s VPS-2. Of course, the monthly payment increased and I can’t afford to keep it running. With how underutilized (i.e. not serving its original purpose anymore, life gets busier day by day :( ) it was, I really should’ve terminated the VPS earlier. As for this site, there’s the Pi Zero 2, which is more than enough for this obscure site and there’s Netbird Reverse Proxy, which makes this site visible to you right now. So, no worries, this site won’t be going anywhere anytime soon.

I also need to mention that I used it less day by day as it got a bit frustrating to use. So, yeah, I might as well just shut it down.

Sorry for any inconvenience if you somehow rely on it.
